From August 23rd to 24th, the review meeting of the "Textile Light" 2025 China National Textile and Apparel Council Science and Technology Award (hereinafter referred to as the Science and Technology Award) was held in Wuhan. With the cross-disciplinary extension of science and technology in the textile industry, the projects participating in this year's Textile Science and Technology Award have demonstrated a prominent feature of cross-border integration based on the field of new fiber materials. The increase in the proportion of projects related to high-performance fibers and high-tech textiles represents the development direction of new driving forces and new quality productivity for future industrial development.
Li Lingshen, Vice president of China National Textile and Apparel Council, Sun Jinliang, Professor of Shanghai University, Yu Jianyong, Zhu Meifang and Sun Yize, Professors of Donghua University, Wang Yuzhong, Professor of Sichuan University, Chen Wenxing, Professor of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Xu Weilin, Professor of Wuhan Textile University, Qing Fengling, researcher of Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chen Lidong, researcher of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences More than 70 experts and representatives from universities, research institutes, enterprises and industry associations across the country attended the review meeting.
According to the Science and Technology Awards Office of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, in 2025, 196 projects applying for science and technology awards passed the formal review, and 137 projects entered the meeting review. According to the reward regulations, the review experts conducted professional group and review committee reviews of the projects in the textile group, clothing and home textile group, chemical fiber group, industrial use group, dyeing and finishing group, mechanical automation group, standard soft science group, and natural science group, and selected the projects recommended for the first and second prizes.
Li Lingshen stated at the review meeting that the review of this year's Science and Technology Awards presented the following characteristics:
First, the traditional and advantageous fields of the textile industry are achieving high-end development through intelligent manufacturing technologies and green manufacturing technologies.
Second, technological breakthroughs in high-tech textiles and fiber materials have become important representatives of advanced manufacturing, and these achievements have broadened the boundaries and scope of the textile industry. The cross-border integration in the field of new fiber materials is particularly prominent.
Thirdly, judging from the application materials of the participating projects, the number of high-value invention patents and high-level papers has been on the rise, reflecting the continuous strengthening of the foundation of the textile industry.
