During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's textile industry has achieved remarkable results in green development. The efficiency of resource and energy utilization and pollutant prevention and control are both at the advanced or leading level in the world's same industry. Key technologies for the industrialization of the recycling and reuse of waste fiber products have been broken through, and the green development capabilities have been widely recognized by the international supply chain.
To continuously promote the green, low-carbon and circular development of the textile industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, and to build the ecological foundation and value background of the modern textile industry system with green concepts, on December 2nd, the 2025 Textile Industry Green Development Conference was grandly held in Hongze District, Huai 'an City, Jiangsu Province.
The conference, themed "Synergistic Carbon Reduction and Efficient Circular Economy", brought together representatives from national ministries and commissions, international organizations, member units of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, professional associations, key textile and apparel industrial clusters, local governments, industry organizations, professional colleges and universities, research institutions, and textile enterprises. Focusing on multiple dimensions such as the current situation of low-carbon development in the industry, future planning considerations, green technology empowerment, and an international multi-perspective perspective, this paper aims to lay a solid foundation for the green development of the industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, jointly explore new carbon paths, and plan for new development.
This conference is hosted by the China National Textile and Apparel Council, organized by the Industry Department of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, and co-organized by the Recycled Chemical Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association and the Urban Energy Conservation Integrated Service Professional Committee of the China Energy Conservation Association.
The meeting was presided over by Liu Xin, director of the Industry Department of the China National Textile and Apparel Council.
