From August 20th to 21st, the 2026 Silk Weaving Industry Product Innovation Seminar and New Product Exchange Results Exhibition was successfully held in Hongze District, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. The conference, with the theme of "Sticking to the Right Path and Innovating to Weave the Future", brought together key enterprises in the silk weaving industry across the country, raw material suppliers, fabric research institutions, brand buyers, and industry experts. It focused on product innovation, new material application, and market trade trends, and jointly explored the high-quality upgrade path of the silk weaving industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.

The meeting was chaired by Zhang Cheng, the vice president of the China Silk Weaving Association. Wang Jiayi, the president of the China Silk Weaving Association, delivered the keynote speech "Sticking to the Right Path and Weaving the Future", reviewing the economic operation status of the silk weaving industry in 2026, deeply analyzing the challenges brought by the current geopolitical environment, commodity fluctuations, and external demand differentiation, indicating the future product innovation direction of the industry, and proposing that the industry should shift from scale expansion to value creation, adhere to the main line of high-end, intelligent, and green development, and accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces.

In the special sharing session, the participating guests conducted in-depth discussions on the innovation trends of silk fabrics, the practical experience of enterprises in new product development, the new demands of downstream clothing brands for fabrics, the development and application of functional and sustainable new materials, and the layout of overseas and domestic trade markets. At the same time, a new product results exhibition was held, showcasing a batch of innovative samples of outdoor sports fabrics, fashion fabrics, home decoration fabrics, and industrial-use silk textiles. This set up a platform for face-to-face supply and demand matching of research and development results.

Hongze District, as an important industrial cluster of nylon silk weaving in China, has now formed an industrial ecosystem of coordinated development of nylon, polyester, and aramid fibers. The holding of this conference in Hongze effectively promoted the deep integration of national silk weaving innovation resources with the local industrial chain.
