On May 29th, the second and third regular meeting of the Line Belt Branch of the China Industrial Textile Association in 2026 was successfully held in Beijing. Vice President Li Lingshen of the China Textile Industry Federation, President Li Guimei of the China Industrial Textile Association, President Ding Junmin of the Line Belt Branch of the China Industrial Textile Association, and representatives of the branch attended the meeting. Chief Engineer Li Yuhao of the China Industrial Textile Association and Director Zhang Qian of the Planning and Research Department of the Industry Division of the China Textile Industry Federation delivered special reports. 

At the meeting, Ding Junmin first presented the "Report on the Work of the Line Belt Association's President Meeting", mainly introducing the main operating conditions of the line belt industry in the first quarter of 2026, the market environment, challenges and main difficulties faced by the industry, conducting in-depth analysis of the production operation, investment dynamics and technological upgrading, export markets and profits, as well as the operation of key enterprises, and pointing out the development difficulties such as the deepening of structural contradictions, the transmission mechanism of cost pressure, the intensification of international competition, and the serious internal strife within the industry. Additionally, he also highlighted the main work carried out by the association in accelerating the green and low-carbon technological transformation of traditional industries, promoting the deep integration of digitalization and intelligence, international layout and market expansion, and standard-driven enterprise optimization and upgrading. 

Zhang Qian delivered a special report titled "Economic Operation and Trend Outlook of the Textile Industry", delving deeply into the current macroeconomic situation of the textile industry, analyzing the global textile supply chain pattern, the internal and external demand environment faced by the industry, and its development trends. The report pointed out that the world has entered a period of turbulent development and restructuring of the economic and trade pattern. Currently, the textile industry in China is in a stage of co-development of resilience and momentum. The uncertainty of the global economic and trade environment has further increased. The global industrial development is differentiated, the production of the textile industry grows at a low speed, self-service consumption continues to grow rapidly, domestic sales perform well, exports face pressure with a slight increase, the performance of major export markets is differentiated, the growth contribution of the US and European markets is significant, operating pressure still exists, sub-sectors have different hot and cold conditions, investment growth has returned to a high level, and the enthusiasm for transformation and upgrading remains unchanged. 

Li Yuhao's presentation titled "Thoughts on Technological Innovation in the Industrial Textile Industry" covered the overview of the industry's technological work, the progress of technological research during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the industry's technological honors and standardization, etc. He also conducted a report exchange and proposed suggestions for the development of the thread and belt industry, including paying attention to future industry trends and policy directions, emphasizing quality and standards, strengthening intellectual property protection, adapting to new AI business models and the green and sustainable directions, and cultivating brand influence. 

During the exchange and discussion session, the participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the industry's hot and difficult issues. They also conducted in-depth exploration on topics such as how to enhance the coordination among the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, solve key technical problems, and expand domestic and international markets.
