From July 16th to 17th, the final of the first "AI + Fashion" Innovation Application Competition and the 2026 FashTech event were held in Futian District, Shenzhen. More than 300 entrepreneurs, researchers, industry associations, and university representatives from home and abroad participated in the event, jointly witnessing the innovative practice of the deep integration of artificial intelligence and the fashion industry. During the event, it coincided with the opening of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-level Conference on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence. The global attention was focused on the development of artificial intelligence and the cooperation in open innovation. Fuzhou District, leveraging its advantages such as the concentration of fashion headquarters, abundant scientific and technological resources, and superior business environment, has vigorously promoted the deep integration of artificial intelligence and the fashion industry, and cultivated new quality productive forces in digital fashion.
This "AI + Fashion" Innovation Application Competition in Shenzhen focuses on the integration and innovation of "AI + Fashion", widely gathering top-notch fashion technology resources from the industry. Through various diversified forms such as competition, trend release, creative performances, high-level roundtable discussions, and public welfare empowerment, it showcases the cutting-edge application achievements of "AI + Fashion", builds a core platform for cross-border communication, resource connection, and industrial cooperation, and creates a digital fashion industry highland with cross-border influence. It is highly consistent with the national deployment of promoting artificial intelligence to empower the real economy, and also injects lasting impetus for regional high-quality development.
Dual tracks focus on the application of the fashion industry

The first "AI + Fashion" Innovation Application Competition in Shenzhen has set up two tracks: the "Creative Design Track" and the "Innovative Solution Track". The former focuses on how AI can empower the entire process of fashion design, while the latter addresses technical solutions that meet the actual needs of the fashion industry.
Among them, the creative design track focuses on AI-driven fashion innovation creation, revolving around themes such as "Future Fashion and Expression", "Flowing Identity", and "Humanity and Nature Coexistence". Designers from home and abroad, along with university teams, jointly presented an AI fashion launch that integrates technology and art.
The Innovation Solution Track focuses on industrial applications, covering areas such as AI design tools, intelligent marketing, smart wearables, and virtual spaces. The shortlisted projects include those from Shenzhen technology enterprises, overseas technical teams, university research teams, and disability assistance startups. They collectively showcase the innovative achievements and commercial application capabilities of AI in various links of the fashion industry chain.
Two competition tracks attracted nearly 1,000 teams from over ten countries and regions including China, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, and South Korea. Approximately 5,000 professionals in the fashion and technology fields gathered, and 2,500 design proposals and innovative achievements were collected.
The contestants in the creative design category come from top universities both at home and abroad, including the Paris Fashion Institute of France, the London University of the Arts, the London Fashion Institute, Pusan National University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Wuhan Textile University, etc.
